did you try to turn down the DirectX controls in the Advanced Settings in the Screen resolution control panel? I found that if you use VLC media player to play any video media, and you go into the Troubleshoot tab in that advanced settings (and then click on Change Settings), turn to the third setting from the left side of the slider, then i think you will be able to run a DVD or video file in full screen.

The issue i am having is trying to get it to automatically run when booting up, to run:mkdir -p /home/pi/.config/autostartI had to run Sudo mkdir -p /home/pi/.config/autostart as i kept getting a message:mkdir: cannot create directory '/home/pi': permission deniedthen i ran nano /home/pi/.config/autostart/plexmediaplayer.desktop and added in the lines to run Plex Media PlayerI then went back to the non superuser user name, that i log in the Pi with, and change to the boot/Auto Login option.Rebooted the Pi and it only boots to the desktop, not Plex.
